Perhaps I misunderstood Al in my younger years.
Al and I didn’t exchange many words when in each others presence, but I recognize now how much his simple presence in my life has had a huge impact on the person I am and how I will continue to engage and be in the World.
He cared deeply, he knew what mattered to him and he focused on that.
He guided gently and protected fiercely without ever imposing or using force.
He had respect for all things living and had a gentle power.
He taught me the brilliant tool of humor and the importance of a balanced life of purpose and pleasure.
Honest and loyal Al has been a constant Pillar for my family and myself.
Al, you have left a space to not be filled.
Thankyou for being You.
